Training Courses Workshops & Seminars Advisories on Energy Efficiency Public Awareness

APPLIED RESEARCH

CEEE works with industry inventors, utilities, policy makers, and investors to propel promising energy efficiency solutions – whether they are developed at the center or elsewhere – towards the critical intersection of technology, business development, and successful commercialization. Each learning & development (L&D) program, and various research projects work to address a critical issue that directly involves prevention, assessment and/or outcomes for energy efficient technologies, innovation and education within the mission of the energy efficiency center.

FOCUS AREAS

The Center has the following areas of focus since its establishment:

Assessments Program (EEAP)

Improving the energy efficiency for industries and businesses can offer significant advantages such as reduced energy use and costs and a smaller carbon footprint. Knowing where to start is the first step. To meet the challenge of the ever-changing energy marketplace, a successful organization must have an energy efficient management program to consistently take advantage of every energy conservation opportunity.

The EEAP focuses on conducting energy assessments conducted by center personnel. These assessments help identify low and no-cost energy conservation measures for improving energy efficiency, potential capital improvements for consideration and available incentives. A report is forwarded to the client following the assessment.
Under the EEAP, the technical capabilities of students and university professionals (CEA and  CEM faculty and engineers), is to be developed to conduct audits of buildings and industrial facilities. We offer services such as: energy assessments, benchmarking, suggesting tactical and strategic opportunities to reduce energy consumption, and formation of certified energy efficient plans. The specific measures recommended for energy conservation, waste minimization, and manufacturing productivity are designed to reduce production costs for small and medium-sized businesses. Assessments help industrial plants and buildings maximize energy efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.

Focus Areas for Assessments:
  • Energy Audits for: Commercial Buildings & Industrial Facilities
  • Energy Efficiency Measures: Audit Reports
  • Designed Studies and Investigations: Energy Feasibility Studies
  • Walk-Through Analysis Preliminary Audit: Free Initial Assessments
