The Interdisciplinary Research Center for Intelligent Secure Systems (IRC-ISS) is a newly established center at KFUPM to revamp the research activities in the fields of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and their intersection. The center will act as a research hub for faculty, students, and researchers from various departments, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Global and Social studies, and many other departments. IRC-ISS is expected to play a leading role in tackling grand challenges related to the design and development of intelligent security systems, secure intelligent systems, and systems that are intelligent and secure from the point of view of both physical security and cyber security. Research affiliates in IRC-ISS will tackle research problems in four research areas: AI & Security, Secure Systems, Resilient Cyberinfrastructure, and Post-Quantum Cybersecurity.
IRC-ISS organized the first research symposium for undergraduate and graduate KFUPM students.
