Director's Message

Our primary aim is to create even more ideas to contribute to lower energy consumption in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With the growth of economy, the demand for energy has grown substantially. Further, the high level of energy intensity in some of the sectors is a matter of concern. In such a scenario efficient use of energy resources and their conservation assume tremendous significance and is essential for curtailment of wasteful consumption and sustainable development. Recognizing the fact that efficient use of energy and its conservation is the least-cost option to meet the increasing energy demand, we aim to institutionalize and strengthen the delivery mechanism for energy efficiency services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Being energy efficient is a national cause and we hope to contribute, join hands and make all out efforts in making KSA an energy efficient economy; especially if it is expected that the local energy consumption will increase significantly as indicated in the Saudi vision 2030 program, we feel that it is our duty to help reduce people’s energy consumption with our long history of academic educational experience and innovative research.

The Center strives to become one of the leading academic Centers in educating students and professionals in energy efficiency, conducting research and providing services related to energy efficiency.
