Objectives

• Aim at research excellence and bottom-up innovation in the field of petroleum refining and petrochemicals.
• Establish a state-of-the-art facility to develop generic creator models to better understand the chemistry of catalytic reactions involving crude oil.
• Conduct research projects using dedicated pilot to serve local petrochemicals industry and bridge the gap between bench- and industrial scale units.
• Complement research facilities at IRC-RAC to cover: co-cracking of low-carbon streams; converting waste plastics to useful products; upgrading liquid hydrocarbons to chemicals and producing renewable and alternative fuels.
