Facilities
Membranes Laboratory
The aim of the membranes laboratory is to develop dense metallic (Pd-based) membranes for H2 separation.
Chemical Synthesis Laboratories
The material synthesis laboratory is well equipped with sophisticated high pressure autoclaves, microwave synthesizers, vacuum schlenk line and other required tools.
Electrochemical Characterization Laboratory
To assess the performance of energy storage devices, different electrochemical techniques are used in a simulated environment such as simple charge-discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Characterization Laboratory
It has an advanced scanning electron microscope including powder samples preparation for FESEM and the lab also possess XRD, two educational AFMs, microCT and fluorescent optical microscope.
Catalytic Evaluation Laboratory
It is mainly dedicated to evaluate heterogeneous catalysts by using fixed bed reactors at a reaction temperature and pressure up to 900 °C and 10 bar, respectively.
Sorption Laboratory
In this lab, porous materials such as Zeolites, MOFs, porous polymers, and porous carbons are tested for their gas uptake capacities.
Clean-Combustion Laboratory
It performs cutting-edge research on the combustion of pure hydrogen, hydrogen-enriched fuels, and hydrogen carrier fuels in state-of-the-art burner technologies of gas turbines and boilers, as well as in internal combustion engines.
