Director's Message

Welcome to the IRC-HTCM website!

The Center was flagged off on the 23^rd of November, 2023, with an ambition of creating an economical and environmental impact through basic and applied research. IRC-HTCM’s collaborative research efforts aim to explore multiple promising fields in applied science, focusing mainly on Hydrogen Technologies and Carbon Management.

In the hydrogen program, we focus on the production of clean hydrogen, hydrogen storage and transportation, and hydrogen utilization. Within the carbon program, we focused on mitigating CO₂ emissions through CO₂ capture, whether from point sources or through direct air capture. Furthermore, our efforts involve carbon conversion and utilization, carbon storage and sequestration, as well as advocacy for net zero carbon through policy and regulation.

Our website will introduce you to our IRC-HTCM team members and our vision, mission and research themes.  You will learn about upcoming events and have access to our news and list of research projects.

Please call us to arrange a visit to the IRC-HTCM. We are conveniently located on the 3^rd floor of the Research Institute (building-15) at KFUPM. In the meantime, you can sign up for the friends of IRC-HTCM list and call on us to discuss your research ideas for possible collaboration.
