On 24 November 2025, Dr. Ellie Ismagilova, Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Swansea University and visiting scholar under the Ibn Sina Scholarship, delivered an insightful research presentation titled “The Power of Electronic Word-of-Mouth in Inducing Adoption of Emerging Technologies.” The presentation, based on her recent co-authored publication in the Q1 journal Technology in Society, attracted an audience of more than 30 participants and sparked a highly engaging discussion. Dr. Ismagilova shared key findings from the study, which examines how electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) shapes consumer expectations and behavioural intentions toward adopting cryptocurrency payment methods.
