Dr. Muhammad Zubair holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium, awarded under the prestigious, fully funded 4-year PhD fellowship from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). His research expertise lies in medical image analysis and intelligent diagnostic systems, with a strong publication record in leading journals covering neurological disorders, cancer, and retinopathy-related conditions. Dr. Zubair has served as a guest researcher in Denmark and Japan and has secured multiple competitive research grants from renowned funding bodies, including FWO (Belgium), KAKENHI (MEXT, Japan), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, EU Horizon 2020, the New Zealand College of Chiropractic Research, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. He actively collaborates with international research groups across South Korea, Denmark, UAE, Japan, Belgium, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. Alongside his work in intelligent diagnosis, Dr. Zubair is currently involved in FinTech research projects aligned with the goals of IRC-FDE, in collaboration with KBS faculty and other members at the center.
