Mahbub Zaman is Professor of Accounting at KFUPM Business School, specialising in corporate governance, auditing, sustainability, and corporate reporting. His current research investigates how governance structures, audit quality, sustainability reporting, and technological change influence corporate accountability and performance. A globally recognised scholar—ranked in the Top 1% in Accounting, Sustainability, and Governance research—he has published widely, earned more than 7,000 citations, supervised over 17 PhD students, and examined more than 40 doctoral theses internationally. Professor Zaman’s career has taken him across the UK, Australia, Denmark, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the United States, including senior roles at the University of Manchester, Queensland University of Technology, the University of Hull, and Aarhus University. He has delivered invited lectures and seminars at more than 20 universities globally and previously served as Director of the PhD Programme at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.
