Professor Jeff Jia joined KFUPM Business School, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Kingdom on August, 2026 as a Distinguished Professor in Supply Chain Management at. Professor Jia holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University (UK). Professor Jia’s research has been focusing on strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (SCM) and has had significant impact on the supply chain policy and private sectors. Professor Jia has been recognized as a Top 2% social scientist in the Stanford-Elsevier World’s Top Scientists ranking for four consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). Prof. Jia has published more than 200 publications in peer reviewed journals including Journal of Operations Management (UTD/FT), International Journal of Operations and Production Management (ABS4); British Journal of Management (ABS4), European Journal of Operational Research (ABS4), Information Systems Journal (ABS 4) among others. He has published 6 books in English and Chinese. Prof. Jia’s Google Scholar citation count stands at over 14,000 with an H-index of 64 (August 2026).

My research has been focusing on digital technology adoption I operations and supply chain management in recently years. My publications focus on how digital technologies improve or impede sustainability in supply chain and mitigate supply chain risks. I intend to work with affiliates at the IRC on topics related to blockchain and Fintech adoption in operations and supply chain management and publish high-quality research articles in leading OSCM/management journals.
