Dr. Idris A. Adediran Joined Fintech Center As Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr Idris A. Adediran obtained his PhD in economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and holds a faculty position at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Finance and Digital Economy (IRC-FDE), King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. His research interests cut across development economics, energy economics, monetary economics, financial economics, and in recent times, he has been carving a niche with studies in digital economy and sustainable finance. His research articles can be found in top refereed journals such as Economic Modelling, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Journal of Policy Modelling, Resources Policy, Journal of Forecasting, among others. Prior to joining KFUPM, he has taught various undergraduate and postgraduate courses including macroeconomics, applied econometrics, mathematics for economists, and monetary economics.
At IRC-FDE, he intends to continue to advance the frontiers of knowledge by collaborating with like minds in interdisciplinary research with initiatives around Fintech, AI adoption, renewable energy transition, and policy-oriented projects consistent with the Vision 2030 of the Kingdom. He also hopes to contribute in no small measure to teaching and mentoring of younger colleagues at IRC-FDE, the Business School and the University.
