Dr. Haider Ali Abbasi
Dr. Haider Ali Abbasi holds a Ph.D. in Management from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. His academic background also includes a Master of Science in Management and a BBA (Hons), providing a strong foundation in business and management. His doctoral research examined consumer adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) within the broader context of sustainability and consumer behavior.
Dr. Abbasi’s research interests cover technology adoption, consumer behavior, sustainability, FinTech and robo-advisors, SNS stressors, and digital marketing. His work focuses on understanding how individuals respond to innovative technologies and digital environments, particularly in relation to adoption decisions and psychological outcomes. He has published in reputable ABDC-ranked journals and has presented his work at several international conferences. Before joining KFUPM, he worked on the Murata Grant for one year, contributing to research on consumer sustainability awareness. He later served as an Assistant Professor of Management at Muslim Youth University, Islamabad, beginning in March 2025.
At IRC-FDE, KFUPM, Dr. Abbasi aims to align his future research with the Center’s direction by exploring customer perspectives on FinTech adoption within the Saudi context. As a new member of the Center, he looks forward to building interdisciplinary collaborations and contributing to impactful research in marketing, technology, and digital transformation.
