Outdoor Renewable Testing Facility
The ORTF is an outdoor testing facility for renewable powered systems. The ORTF has a PV dust testing system, Renewable powered RO system, testing of different PV module performance, performance testing of solar PV Air-conditioning system. The ORTF is planning to provide state-of-the art Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) for comprehensive measurement and monitoring renewable powered systems. The ORTF would offer a training courses and workshops on Renewable powered systems to increase participants' knowledge and skills in order to help Saudi Arabia achieve its Vision 2030 goals.

The ORTF Laboratory can provide a multiple of services including:
- Conducting assessments of renewable powered system
- Performing measurements and benchmarking
- Identifying opportunities for renewable powered technologies and applications
- Promoting new renewable energy solutions and technologies

- Performance evaluation of solar PV Air-conditioning system at bus station, RI building
- Cooling PV modules using different passive heatsinks, KACARE project
- Study of dust fouling effects on PV module performance
