Description: This study proposes a trust-based framework to enhance the cognitive decision-making of virtual agents in crowd simulations. While data-driven approaches and 3D digital models are already used in designing sensitive facilities (e.g., airports, campuses, hospitals), current simulations lack mechanisms for agents to share knowledge during emergencies. The framework addresses this gap by enabling agents to exchange information based on trust, improving realism and safety in evacuation scenarios, such as when exits are blocked during a fire.
