Cancer has been known as the leading cause of death worldwide. Many studies have been conducted in the direction of finding effective treatments. It is well known that cancer driver genes are the central factor responsible for the initialization and progression of cancers. Therefore, uncovering these genes will not only help improve our understanding of biological mechanism underlying cancer development and progression, but also develop new treatments. In this talk, Dr. Van Dinh Tran will give a brief introduction to cancer, cancer drivers and present a novel multi-modal graph neural network-based method for predicting cancer driver genes that his group has recently developed.
