The IRC-Construction and Building Materials at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Tushar Bansal as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Bennett University, Greater Noida, India, in 2022. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as an Assistant Professor at Sharda University from July 2022 to May 2026.

Dr. Bansal’s research expertise includes structural health monitoring, smart materials and structures, durability of concrete structures, sustainable construction, and the application of artificial intelligence in structural health monitoring. His work focuses on structural health monitoring of concrete systems using the electro-mechanical impedance (EMI) technique, as well as the integration of supplementary materials in low-carbon cementitious systems. He also applies machine learning and deep learning models for predicting compressive strength and monitoring corrosion in reinforced concrete.
