Dr. Shaban Shahzad is a highly skilled Civil Engineer specializing in concrete structures and advanced cementitious materials. With a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Paul Sabatier III in Toulouse, France, and a Master's degree in Durability and Innovation in Materials and Structures (ID-RIMS) from INSA Toulouse, he has extensive academic and practical experience in structural engineering, particularly focusing on sustainable and smart materials.
During his PhD research, Dr. Shaban Shahzad worked on the development of smart cementitious materials for structural health monitoring (SHM) using Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs). His research involved optimizing the dispersion of conductive materials to enhance self-sensing properties without compromising mechanical performance. He also designed and validated smart sensors to monitor damage in large-scale reinforced concrete structures, contributing significantly to advancements in concrete technology.
