The IRC-Construction and Building Materials at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Sameh Abdelfattah A. Ahmed as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering, specializing in Water Supply, Sewerage, Engineering Structures of Water Resources Protection, and Environmental Engineering, from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU), Russia, in 2024. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Aswan University, Egypt, from March 2025 to September 2026.

Dr. Ahmed’s research expertise includes environmental engineering, advanced wastewater treatment, adsorption, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs/SR-AOPs), water and wastewater pollution, and material characterization. His work has focused on integrated treatment systems for heavy-metal removal and the degradation of organic pollutants using adsorption and advanced oxidation technologies.
