Dr. Ravi Kumar Kottala joins IRC-CBM as a Post Doctoral Fellow
The IRC-Construction and Building Materials at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Ravi Kumar Kottala as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Thermal Energy Storage and Machine Learning from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2023. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as an Assistant Professor at M V G R College of Engineering, India, from April 2023 to December 2025.
Dr. Kottala’s research expertise includes phase change materials (PCMs) for construction, thermal energy storage, and machine learning applications in building performance analysis. His work emphasizes PCM integration in building envelopes, micro- and nano-encapsulation technologies, and energy performance prediction and building simulation using advanced machine learning models.
At IRC-Construction and Building Materials, Dr. Kottala aims to advance the use of functional PCMs and AI-driven modeling to support the development of energy-efficient and climate-responsive construction materials.
We warmly welcome Dr. Ravi Kumar Kottala and look forward to his valuable contributions to energy-focused research at IRC-Construction and Building Materials, KFUPM.
