The IRC-Construction and Building Materials at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Muhammad Usman as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering, from Nagoya University, Japan, in 2025. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Pakistan.

Dr. Usman’s research expertise lies at the intersection of construction materials, structural assessment, and resilient infrastructure. His work integrates advanced experimental methods, non-contact and non-destructive evaluation techniques, Digital Image Correlation (DIC), and computational and analytical modeling to investigate the durability, structural performance, and long-term resilience of concrete structures under aggressive environmental and thermal conditions.

Alongside his research, Dr. Usman has experience in university teaching, undergraduate supervision, academic administration, and engineering practice. He is committed to translating laboratory innovations into practical engineering solutions that enhance the safety, resilience, and sustainability of concrete infrastructure.

We warmly welcome Dr. Muhammad Usman and look forward to his valuable contributions to research at IRC-Construction and Building Materials, KFUPM.
