Dr. Mohammed Aslam joins the Center as a Post Doctoral Fellow

The IRC-Construction and Building Materials at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Mohammed Aslam as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, India, in 2021. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as a Research Professor (Assistant) at the Extreme Environment Design and Manufacturing Innovation Center, Changwon National University, South Korea, where he previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher from April 2022 to February 2025.

Dr. Aslam’s research expertise includes structural health monitoring, non-destructive evaluation, damage imaging, smart structures, metamaterials, elastodynamics, and finite element analysis. His work focuses on advanced ultrasonic methods for detecting micro-damage in structural components and ensuring their long-term structural integrity. He also has expertise in ultrasonic and guided-wave techniques, acoustic emission, and laser ultrasonics.
