The IRC-CBM research center at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Khaled Khaled as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. in Building Science from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada, in 2025.

Dr. Khaled’s research centers on the development and integration of nanomaterials in building envelope systems, with a particular focus on enhancing energy efficiency and occupant comfort. His work includes the design and performance evaluation of nano-enhanced coatings for architectural glazing, aimed at improving the thermal and optical performance of building façades.

Before joining KFUPM, Dr. Khaled served as a Graduate Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, contributing to teaching and research in architectural engineering and building science. He was involved in courses on building envelope systems, structural design, and environmental control (light and sound) in architecture. Dr. Khaled has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and encyclopedia chapter.

At IRC-CBM, his research will focus on developing high-performance dynamic glazing technologies tailored for Saudi Arabia’s extreme climate. His approach combines experimental testing, optical modeling, whole-building energy simulation, and machine learning to support the design and operation of sustainable buildings.

We warmly welcome Dr. Khaled Khaled and look forward to his innovative contributions to the advancement of energy-efficient building technologies at IRC-CBM, KFUPM.
