The IRC-CBM research center at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Jamal Eldin Ibrahim as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Dr. Ibrahim received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Miskolc, Hungary, in 2023. Prior to joining KFUPM, he worked as an Associate Researcher at the same institution from March 2023 to August 2025.

His research expertise includes the development of sustainable thermal insulation materials, such as ceramic foams, glass foams, and geopolymer foams, as well as the design of composite bricks using natural and industrial waste-derived materials, including natural zeolite, silica fume, aluminum dross, and sawdust.

Dr. Ibrahim also explores advanced ceramic composite building materials and is actively involved in the development of composite systems for electromagnetic radiation shielding. His work integrates emerging technologies such as carbonated building materials and the incorporation of phase change materials for enhanced thermal performance.

We warmly welcome Dr. Jamal Eldin Ibrahim to IRC-CBM, KFUPM, and look forward to his innovative research contributions in the field of sustainable and functional construction materials.
