Dr. Aminul Haque joins IRC-CBM as a Post Doctoral Fellow
The IRC-CBM research center at KFUPM is pleased to welcome Dr. Md. Aminul Haque as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Dr. Haque received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Construction Materials) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2022. Prior to joining KFUPM, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) from September 2022 to September 2024.
Dr. Haque’s research expertise lies in the design and durability analysis of low-carbon cementitious materials, particularly those incorporating supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) and contaminated waste. His work spans hydration reaction mechanisms, microstructural property analysis, and high-strength performance optimization. He applies a broad suite of advanced characterization techniques including SEM-EDS, XRD, TGA, FTIR, NMR, and nanoindentation, with a growing interest in solar heat storage applications using bio-based cementitious materials.
Dr. Haque also brings rich academic experience, having served as a faculty member and research coordinator at Leading University, Sylhet, Bangladesh from 2011 to 2022.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Md. Aminul Haque to IRC-CBM, KFUPM, and look forward to his contributions in advancing sustainable construction materials research.
