Prof. Dr. Nasir Shafiq is a Professor in Structural Engineering and Sustainable Development. Apart from research and academics, he is actively involved in administrative positions. From 2014 to 2017, Prof. Shafiq served as Director of Sustainable Resources Mission-Oriented Research, Chairman of the Innovation Committee, and Chief Editor of the Research Bulletin RESINEX. His administrative positions’ main KPIs include research management at the MOR level, strategic and business planning, monitoring of IP filing, research commercialization, and technology licensing. Prof. Shafiq is a member of professional bodies including ACI, ASCE, BEM, and the Pakistan Engineering Council. Currently, he is serving as Vice President of the Concrete Society Malaysia for the second consecutive term from 2024 to 2026.
