Challenges

  • Holistic designs that span multiple disciplines of signal processing, communications, sensing, machine learning, and big data.

  • Characteristics of next generation (e.g., high node density, wide spatial existence, multitude heterogeneity, context awareness, quality)

  • Intelligent, self-organized, self-optimized, and context-aware system requirements

  • Massive systems (Massive IoT, Massive MIMO)

  • Public safety requirement and energy constraints (Green Communications)

What we do!

  • Build infrastructure

  • Develop Competencies

  • Execute and conduct research

  • Connect with the industry

  • Contribute to the university campus through training and teaching

  • Outreach to the public and contribute to the community

Targeted Sectors

  • Telecommunications and IT

  • Defense: GAMI and SAMI

  • Oil and Gas industry

  • Healthcare

  • Consumer Electronics

  • Automotive

  • Hajj and Umrah
