About Proof of Concept Grant
Proof of Concept (PoC) program is a grant to support KFUPM faculty or researcher for developing and validating early-stage inventions originating in their labs.
The PoC fund can cover following:
- Development
- Testing
- Prototype construction
- Conduct specific market research
Objectives of the program:
- Evaluate commercial potential
- Demonstrate value
- De-Risk the project to commercial partners or investors
- Help in identifying route to commercialization and securing a route
- Identify weakness in the technology for further development, or help avoid downstream costs
