At KFUPM's Innovation & Technology Transfer (ITT), we are committed to bolster the growth of Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and pioneering deeptech ventures (startups). Our focus lies in catalyzing the advancement of their nascent product(s) / technologies towards commercialization.

Harnessing the robust capabilities of our cutting-edge research centers, KFUPM stands ready to address the technological exigencies of such enterprises. This symbiotic relationship not only is expected to propel the developmental trajectory of these entities but also aligns with the overarching national imperatives of fostering localization and nurturing a knowledge-based economy.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • SME or a deeptech startup preferably registered in Saudi Arabia
  • Possess an early-stage technology or product, typically at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 necessitating customization, testing, or further R&D
  • Willingness to co-own Intellectual Property (IP) generated from the collaboration, thereby listing KFUPM as a co-owner in any resulting patents
  • Commitment to sharing a modest percentage of net sales from IP commercialization as royalties
