Clean Combustion Laboratory

The facility is used for testing clean combustion technologies for a wide variety of applications. Applications include gas turbines, boilers, reactors, and incinerators. Technologies include swirl nozzles, micromixers, ELBO fuel, DACRS, and reverse flow. Fuels and oxidizers include natural gas, LPG, hydrogen (H2), cracked NH3, liquid fuels, fuel blends, oxy-fuel combustion, and air-fuel combustion. facility equipped with digital (computer-controlled) mass flow controllers for accurate and prompt control of all reactants and gases. Available diagnostics include an acoustic signature, flame imaging, hot-gas-path temperature measurements, and emissions measurements.
