The First International Conference on Smart Mobility and Logistics Ecosystems (SMILE), held from September 17 to September 19 at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), has concluded successfully. The event served as a platform for experts, innovators, and stakeholders to collaborate on addressing challenges arising from the rapid evolution of transport systems, environmental sustainability, and urbanization.
The conference aimed to bridge the gap between research and implementation, with a strong emphasis on automation, AI, machine learning, hydrogen mobility, and clean energy solutions, driving forward the future of mobility and logistics.

Event Highlights
In this event, there were 4 tracks and 162 submitted scientific papers presented, showcasing a diverse and dynamic pool of research. The review committee consisted of 15 track chairs from 7 countries and more than 100 scholars from 41 countries.
Besides this, 10 leading companies participated in the exhibition to demonstrate the latest developments in logistics and mobility, hydrogen mobility, clean environmental solutions, and AI and ML for mobility and logistics analytics. This was manifested through participants and exhibitors alike, showing the global influence of SMILE in driving innovation in these key fields.
