Researchers Advance Sustainable Cooling with Photovoltaic Thermoelectric Air Conditioning
We are pleased to announce a significant research breakthrough by Dr. Kashif Irshad and his team, supported by the startup project grant SR191010 from DROC, KFUPM. Their study, "Analysis of Photovoltaic Thermoelectric Air Conditioning for Personalized Cooling in Arid Climate," has been published in the Journal of Building Engineering (Elsevier), ranking in the top 10% percentile.
The research explores the Photo Thermoelectric Air Conditioning (PTE-AC) system, which leverages solar photovoltaic (PV) technology to provide efficient, personalized cooling in hot, arid climates like Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The findings present a promising step toward sustainable and energy-efficient cooling solutions.
