Floating Photovoltaic (FPV) systems represent a promising solution to Saudi Arabia’s net-zero goals. With approximately 500 dams across the Kingdom, FPV can boost power generation efficiency, reduce water evaporation, and extend panel lifespan. A techno-economic feasibility study conducted by a research team at KFUPM has been featured in PV Magazine, earning significant recognition for the center, university, and researchers.
