The IRC for Sustainable Energy Systems (IRC-SES) has expanded its battery testing infrastructure with the acquisition of high-precision battery testing equipment from Arbin Instruments, a leading global supplier. This upgrade significantly enhances our research and testing capabilities, supporting the center’s growing battery development initiatives.

With nearly 500 test channels now available, this investment strengthens our ability to conduct advanced energy storage research, covering both lab-scale and commercial battery cells. As part of the installation, Yassine Ammar, Senior Sales Engineer at Arbin Instruments, provided onsite training at KFUPM, fostering valuable discussions on future prospects in battery testing and research.

This cutting-edge addition will accelerate innovation in battery technology, reinforcing our commitment to scientific excellence and expanding collaborations with national and international organizations in the energy sector.
