Director's Message

Thank you for visiting the website of the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Membranes and Water Security (IRC-MWS) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). The IRC-MWS vision is to be recognized as a leading research center by conducting cutting-edge fundamental and applied research in membranes and water security.

Being strategically located close to the largest companies in the world (oil &gas, desalination, petrochemical), the IRC-MWS is focused on challenges related to such industries. We are also committed to teaching and training of our graduate and undergraduate students to enrich their experience through multiple programs coordinated in collaboration with other departments in KFUPM.

We have an interdisciplinary thriving team of research scientists, faculty affiliates, post-docs, and students with different backgrounds (engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics). This team, I believe, is capable of achieving our vision in the near future.
