We are excited to announce an upcoming seminar titled "Manchester in the UK Nuclear Landscape" by Prof. Andrey Jivkov, a distinguished expert in solid mechanics and engineering materials from the The University of Manchester.
In this insightful talk, Prof. Jivkov will explore the history and current state of civil nuclear power in the UK, covering reactor developments, government policies on new designs, and waste disposal strategies. He will also introduce the Dalton Nuclear Institute at Manchester, highlight emerging research in nuclear fusion, and discuss the nuclear-related activities of the Modelling & Simulation Centre.
