Switzerland's Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is a leading international research center focused on regulatory support for the safe long-term operation of nuclear power plants (NPPs), post-irradiation examination of spent fuel, the geochemistry of deep geological repositories for radioactive waste, and the education and training of future nuclear engineers and scientists. PSI operates world-class facilities such as the Hot Laboratory, PANDA facility, and CROCUS reactor. They also focus on advanced Generation-IV reactors and the production of radioisotopes for pharmaceutical purposes. The talk will also highlight the newly established cooperation between PSI and IRC for Industrial Nuclear Energy.
