We are excited to announce the first-ever International Nuclear Innovation Award, hosted by the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Industrial Nuclear Energy (IRC-INE) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. This prestigious award aims to inspire innovative ideas that can significantly enhance the nuclear energy industry.
We invite participants to submit their visionary proposals that address key challenges and explore new opportunities for advancement in nuclear technology, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. We encourage bold, original thinking and innovative concepts that can drive sustainable nuclear energy solutions for industrial sectors.

Award Process
The award process will ensure a thorough evaluation, engagement through presentations, and recognition at a formal ceremony.
1. Evaluation: Experts in nuclear applications and industry stakeholders will evaluate all submitted proposals.
2. Final Presentation: For each category, three (3) shortlisted proposals will be selected. The main authors of these proposals will be invited to KFUPM to present their innovations, followed by a questions and answers session. KFUPM will handle all logistical arrangements for the event.
3. Announcement of Winners: One (1) winner from each category will be awarded during a ceremony at KFUPM.

- Winners will receive their awards in person at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

Terms and Conditions
- KFUPM reserves the right to use certain materials submitted by prize winners for the purpose of dissemination and promotional activities related to the contest and its objectives.
- Prize winners are encouraged to acknowledge KFUPM’s support in their communications and are expected to follow any relevant guidelines provided by KFUPM regarding the use of its logos, branding, and related disclaimers.
- Prize winners must acknowledge KFUPM's support in all research outcomes.
- KFUPM reserves the right to withdraw the prize if it is determined that false information or violation of any contest rules or conditions occurred.
Propsal Submission Requirements
Participants must submit a five-page document that includes:
- Abstract:
A concise summary of the proposal, including the problem addressed, the innovation, and the expected impact.
- Introduction:
Background information on the topic
- Technical Description:
Provide a thorough justification of the novel technology or methodology that will be applied in your proposal, including an overview of the technology, data sources, models, and implementation strategy.
- Nuclear Application:
An explanation of the nuclear innovation application and the expected advancements.
- Impact Assessment:
Evaluation of the possible effects on the environment, safety, and economy.
- Feasibility Study:
Evaluation of the technical and economic feasibility, including a timeline, budget estimate, and required resources.
