KFUPM Building 59 - Room 2017

The future of intelligent communication and sensing systems hinges on the seamless integration of computation, communication, and perception — where intelligence operates as close as possible to the source of data. As next-generation infrastructures evolve toward ultra-dense, self-optimizing, and context-aware architectures, they demand an unprecedented ability to process wideband signals in software, with extreme efficiency and minimal latency. This is where Xcelerium’s Dynamic Reconfiguration Technology redefines the limits of performance and adaptability. By enabling real-time algorithmic transformation at the point of data acquisition, Xcelerium architecture delivers exceptional compute density and energy efficiency, over 50× lower power consumption than leading GPUs, 100× higher performance than traditional DSPs, and up to 100× smaller die area than FPGAs, all while maintaining the deterministic latency required for modern communication, radar, and sensing systems. These capabilities make Xcelerium technology a foundation for intelligent systems that can perceive, decide, and adapt in real time, essential for applications such as software-defined radios, autonomous sensing platforms, and distributed sensor networks. The presentation will explore how this technology can accelerate interdisciplinary research and innovation at KFUPM by enabling in-system intelligence, AI-assisted signal processing, and energy-optimized autonomous operations. In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, Xcelerium’s platform supports the Kingdom’s goals in advanced digital infrastructure, sustainable technology sovereignty, and the creation of next-generation intelligent systems that power a smarter, more connected, and resilient future.
