On Sep. 6, 2023, at 10:30 AM, the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Communication Systems and Sensing (IRC-CSS) organized a seminar titled "Electrokinetic Forces for Sensors Fabrication and Particles Manipulation."

The seminar was presented by Dr. Abdullah Abdulhameed, Postdoctoral fellow at IRC-CSS at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM).

The webinar began with an introduction by Dr. Ali Muqaibel, who welcomed the participants and introduced Dr. Abdulhameed. Dr. Abdulhameed then began his presentation by providing an overview of Dielectrophoresis theory and mechanism, and the theory and mechanism of dielectrophoresis. In addition to that, the seminar discusses the theory, advances, limitations and applications of dielectrophoresis. Fabrication of sensor devices and manipulation of bioparticles for biosensing are examples of utilizing dielectrophoresis in nanotechnology research.

After the presentation, there was a Q&A session where participants had the opportunity to ask Dr. Abdulhameed questions and clarify any doubts they had.
