Advancement in UHPC for NEOM mega projects

The smart city projects in NEOM require the development of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) using some local materials to withstand extreme environmental conditions for over 120 years. Our UHPC offers exceptional strength and durability, can withstand extreme environmental conditions for over 120 years, and costs ten times less than commercial UHPC.

The new UHPC uses local dune sand and other materials often disregarded in conventional concrete. This innovative method, combined with efficient material usage, lowers the cost of UHPC

The impact this research has are:
  • Advance sustainable infrastructure in local industries and play a key role in Saudi Arabia's economic growth. 
  • Set to transform building construction in KSA, enhancing the durability of structures to endure harsh conditions for longer.
