In a joint endeavor between Northern Development Group and KFUPM, a workshop took place at Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) on December 17 and 18, 2023. The main focus of the workshop was on exploring and advancing a cutting-edge technology: an improved Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) designed specifically for Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) patients, presented by Mr. Tor Kristoffersen, Dr. Einar Gude, and Dr. Arnt Fiane.

The workshop had diverse participation, including professionals from the bioengineering faculty, MS students, and experts in cardiology. Engaging discussions and productive brainstorming sessions enriched the event, fostering collaborative insights.
