The Injector Innovation Lab (IIL) in IRC-HTCM at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is a pioneering facility dedicated to advancing fuel injector technologies for a range of applications, from automotive, power generation to aerospace, with focus on hydrogen fuel.
We are in the exciting phase of designing and building our state -of - the -art research facility, and we invite talented postdoctoral researchers to join our team,
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design experimental setups and research protocols.
- Contribute to the development of advanced injector prototypes and testing methodologies.
- Engage in the creation of facility infrastructure to support a range of technology readiness levels.
- Assist in establishing partnerships with industry stakeholders and academic institutions.
- Publish research findings and present results at conferences.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in fuel injection systems, spray dynamics and spray characterization.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in experimental design and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Minimum Requirements In addition to the required qualifications, the following criteria are essential for consideration for the position:
- PhD awarded in 2021 or later.
- No grades of D or F (or equivalent) throughout the academic career.
- An average of 5 publications per year in Q1/Q2 journals
- The PhD-granting university must be globally recognized, preferably ranked in the top 200 by QS University Rankings, either overall or by subject.
