KFUPM-CoREs National Meeting!
Introduction:
King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is pleased to announce a one-day workshop highlighting the research activities, proposed research plans,
research grants and the development of facilities at the four Centers for Research Excellence (CoREs) established at KFUPM. These include: Center of Research
Excellence in Corrosion (CoRE-C), Center of Research Excellence in Nanotechnology (CoRE-N), Center of Research Excellence in Renewable Energy (CoRE-RE),
and Center of Research Excellence in Petroleum & Refining (CoRE-PR). This workshop will bring together the faculty, researchers and professionals from
universities and organizations in the Kingdom and provide a forum to discuss various research ideas and identify national areas of national priority in
various areas and make recommendations for effective participation of all in the activities of CoRE at KFUPM.
Purpose:
• To discuss the research programs and activities of Centers of Research Excellence (CoREs) established at KFUPM.
• To explore the avenues of collaboration between the CoREs at KFUPM and the universities and industries in the Kingdom.
• To formulate recommendations for broadening the participation of faculty, researchers and professional engineers in the research activities of the CoREs.
• To obtain feedback from the participants on ways and means for enhancing the interaction between KFUPM CoREs and faculty and researchers from other national universities and professionals from local industry.
