Message from the Director

The impact of corrosion on industry in terms of safety, reliability and cost is undeniable. Consequently, corrosion prevention and mitigation have been increasingly perceived as one of the national priority areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Center was established at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals to advance research and to form a nucleus for developing working strategy to combat corrosion. The Center would develop substantive ties with academic institutions and industries within the Kingdom and other countries. It would formulate research programs that cater to the local needs in collaboration with the government and industrial sectors. It would act as a platform to invite world leaders in the field of corrosion to transfer latest knowledge and develop collaboration with professionals in the Kingdom. Your comments and suggestions on our activities and programs will be highly appreciated.
